The episode begins with Michael Shure reporting in from Washington. Mark and Michael discuss former Blackwater chief, Erik Prince and the Russians as well as Jared Kushner and his almost forgotten connection to the Russians. There’s also talk of Stormy Daniels and hush money. And the administration lifts the ban on transporting into the USA the heads and other body parts of endangered animals bagged by trophy hunters. Finally, a bizarre fraud case in which a convicted defendant almost walks after the fact. Our main guest is Ben Garant. Ben joins Mark Thompson and J Elvis Weinstein. Ben created Reno 911 and Night At the Museum and is a prolific writer of comedy and he even has dipped into other genres, as he tells them Ben has had other big successes like The Pacifier and he even discusses projects that didn’t go quite as well and what happened. Ben gives us a look at show business through his the eyes of someone who has contributed to a lot of projects. Before Ben arrives, Mark and J Elvis talk with Sam Rubin about the Oscar Red Carpet shows that just concluded and The Oscar show itself. Mark then shares some red carpet nightmares from his own life of reporting from there.
